Quite frankly, this is our only job. It is what each of us is called to do. This is the gritty, searingly difficult work. Looking in the mirror and loving that precious human looking back at you, surprisingly, it’s work. Standing in front of a human that doesn’t believe the same and loving each other through it, is painfully difficult. Slowing down, observing and actively stretching and growing through love in the relationships that live in our homes, schools, work and neighborhoods, the relationships that have been existing on habit, takes effort. Assuming positively of each human that crosses our path, it’s just not easy and it is the job of love. We are committed to this seemingly impossible task each day. We will fall, and then dust ourselves off, and show up again. Because we believe in our Vi hearts and guts that loving the human(s) in front of us is the answer to every single question. So, we are committed to authentic connection, staying so extremely curious, choosing bravery over fear, believing in a little bit of magic through thinking in possibility, choosing grace through positive assumption, and attempting minutely to doing the gritty work of loving the human(s) in front of us.
